Ideas to help you get more plan patients

Have a look at the list below to check that you’re not missing any opportunities (or perhaps need to update your current methods) to get more patients signed up to your dental plan:

  •  A dental plan ethos for the whole dental practice – get everyone on-board!
  • Put your best team members forward to help promote the plan
  • Consider offering incentives to team members for achieving target sign-ups
  •  Know your numbers – check out our previous blog here
  • Have a clear process in place to promote your dental plan at all points of the patient journey
  • Ensure your team are appropriately trained to handle objections to joining the plan
  • Ask! Inform every eligible patient about the benefits of joining your dental plan- never assume your patient will not be interested in joining
  •  Remember a ‘no’ now isn’t a ‘no’ forever
  •  Consistently and regularly communicate the benefits of being a plan member to all of your patients
  • Ensure your marketing materials are up-to-date, such as:

• Practice leaflets/brochures
• Website
• Practice posters
• Flyers
• Recall letters
• Dormant/inactive patient mailings
• Newsletters
• Social media – Facebook, Twitter
• Email
• Recorded phone message/waiting room screens
