New Apps to try
These are apps that are relatively new to us – not necessarily new on the market but ones which we have recently tried and actually feel are quite useful or just plain fun!
Airtable is a fast and flexible way to create tables to keep track of anything. On your mobile device, your records are presented as tap-friendly cards. On the web, you can edit your records using a simple spreadsheet interface.
Use Airtable to create flexible checklists, organise collections or ideas, and manage customers or contacts — all in one place. Get started instantly with a variety of templates or easily piece together your own layout from scratch.
For those of us who aren’t great with Photoshop, this app allows you to create image and text layouts with ease. Great for creating social media posts or graphics for your blog.
Wunderlist is a simple to-do list and task manager app that helps you get stuff done. We’ve tried lots of task manager apps and we’ve found this one to be the easiest (and the easier an app is the more you use it!)
You can share lists with others and the fact that the app syncs between your phone, desktop and tablet is great.
This is a great game to play with just one friend or a whole table full. There are several decks of cards from celebrities to animals, movies to accents. Simply place the phone on your forehead and your friends have to guess the word on the card. You tilt the phone to draw a new card and the object is to get through as many cards before the timer runs out.
Regardless of your age, we defy you not to get the fits of giggles with this app!
Switch faces with a friend or photo in real time or see what you’d look like with a celebrity’s face or even an animal.
The quickest, easiest way to split the bill at a restaurant. Add items and drag them right on to people's plates, and watch the totals update in real time.
Please do share with us your favourite apps.
